Closantel sodium is a broad-spectrum anthelmintic, which has a good effect on a variety of trematodes, nematodes and arthropod larvae. Its anti-fluke repellent activity is mainly against Fasciola hepatica, while its activity against arthropods is mainly aimed at various worms that suck blood or plasma.
This product is widely used in infections of the above-mentioned parasitic diseases in cattle and sheep. It can be administered orally or parenterally (subcutaneously and intramuscularly), and it has both therapeutic and preventive effects.
